How does the Megaponics nutrient calculator work?
Enter your plant, reservoir size and plant age. The calculator returns exact gram measurements for a 7-salt A/B/C nutrient formula, plus a target EC range and pH for that plant and growth stage, with step-by-step mixing instructions.
How many plants does it support?
125+ plant varieties, including tomatoes, lettuce, basil, strawberries, cucumbers, peppers, spinach, herbs and many more, each with its own EC and pH targets.
Which 7 salts does the formula use?
Calcium Nitrate, Potassium Nitrate and Fe-EDTA (Part A); Mono Potassium Phosphate, Potassium Sulphate and Magnesium Sulphate (Part B); and a chelated micronutrient mix (Part C).
Which hydroponic systems does it work with?
Any recirculating or run-to-waste system — DWC, NFT, Kratky, Dutch bucket, ebb and flow, drip and more. The formula is about the water chemistry, not the system.
How is EC and PPM calculated?
From each plant's known EC target, scaled by plant age and your chosen strength. The calculator uses 1 mS/cm ≈ 650 ppm (Howard M. Resh, Hydroponic Food Production, 7th Ed.).
